Having been identified for years by the Bride Mural, designed and created by the late Judy Penzer and Jill Watson, the Penn Avenue Corridor is becoming a more visibly unique place. The PAAI has supported local artists in the creation of public art including The Gateway created by Horizons(2001) located at 5149 and 5150 Penn Avenue and Today’s Heroic Paragon, designed and created by Kevinn Fung (2003) located at 4908 Penn Avenue. In 2004-2006 the PAAI plans to investigate new and unique ways to mark the burgeoning arts district both along the Garfield and East Liberty Business Districts.
